Initial sketches include project details as well as initial design sketches to explore marks, and typography. Color would not be introduced until the final stages.

Taking the initial sketches and brainstorming, they are turning into digital conceptions that bring out the full scope of the project with various options.

The final designs are then tailored down to the strongest options. These are still in black and white until deliverables are given to the client. 

THE RISING NEWSLETTER DETAILS

Layout & Design Header:

  • The header features the "Many Hopes" and "The Rising" logos, making it clear that this is a specialized communication under the new giving program.

Introduction:

  • A brief introduction from the executive director of Many Hopes or a child who has been directly impacted by the program will set the tone for each issue.
  • Interactive Map
  • Central to the newsletter is an interactive map, rendered in soft earth tones to complement the branding.
  • Countries or regions where Many Hopes is actively involved are highlighted.
  • Sponsors can click on an area to open a pop-up or new page that features a story about a specific child who has been helped by the charity in that location.

Monthly Feature Stories:

  • Situated under or beside the map are feature stories that dive deeper into individual or collective success stories, putting a face to the cause and adding a narrative depth. 

Updates on Many Hopes Operations:

  • A dedicated section gives sponsors updates on any organizational milestones, upcoming events, or changes in operation.

Footer:

  • This section includes legal information, unsubscribe options, and links to Many Hopes' social media platforms.

Interactivity: 

  • Pink Pings: Hyperlinks in the text and on the map, marked by pink pings, lead to extended stories, video testimonials, or project highlights.

Map Pop-Ups: 

  • Clicking a region on the interactive map reveals a snippet about a child's life who has been helped, with an option to read more.

Social Sharing:

  • Icons at the end of each story or update allow for easy sharing to social media, enabling sponsors to become advocates.
